YŪ is not fast-fashion jewellery. Each piece of jewellery receives its own unique finishing and is a one-of-a-kind creation.
MANUFACTURING TIME
Like many unprecedented and beautiful things require time, it will take 4 to 6 weeks for you to receive your own personal YŪ.
YŪ is not fast-fashion jewellery. Each piece of jewellery is a one-of-a-kind creation. For you to enjoy your piece of jewellery for a long time, we take time for you and the crafting process.
It is our claim to think sustainably and to work very carefully in order to offer you the best quality. We only work with partners in Germany and the Netherlands.
The following steps will show you how it is made.

YOUR DESIGN
Congratulations! You have successfully designed your own unique jewellery using the YŪ algorithm. The journey of your personal YŪ begins now.
After placing your order, your 3D data will be sent directly to our production team, who will review your design to ensure a flawless manufacturing.
To let your name, personal message, word or story become wearable, we use advanced technologies and traditional craftsmanship.
3D-PRINTED WAX MODEL
A combination of precise wax-3D-printing and a lost wax casting process is used to create your YŪ jewellery.
This technique is called indirect-3D-printing, which means that the 3D print is a sub-step of the whole manufacturing process.
A wax-like resin is used for the 3D print, a process also known as stereolithography. This allows us to gain best quality and capture every detail of your design in the subsequent precious metal casting.
The finished print is now manually cleaned, optimised and prepared for the following lost wax process.
HANDCRAFTED CASTING
First, one or more casting channels of wax are attached to your printed wax-model to create a so-called ‘wax tree’. The tree is then placed in a flask and covered with fine plaster. Once the plaster has solidified, it forms the mould for the precious metal casting. This plaster mould is placed in an oven and heated for several hours until the wax has completely melted out.
The hot-melted gold/silver is then poured in to fill the cavities left by the wax. Finally, after the metal has cooled and solidified, the plaster mould is broken and your piece of jewellery is removed.
FINISHING
Finally, your model is filed and sanded to get rid of the casting knots. It is then polished or gold-plated to achieve your desired finish. Once the manufacturing process is complete, we place your YŪ in a jewellery box with a small custom print of your secret algorithm and deliver it to you insured.
We hope you enjoy it and spread happiness to the world.
Thank you!
